Sweet Leaf

This image was taken in Oregon at Silver Falls State Park in October of 2001. I arrived at the falls very early in the morning; it was a wet and overcast day. Many people have photographed these falls, but most are taken from the same vantage point. I was determined to find a new composition, so I climbed down to the base of the falls and found what I was looking for. I had to lay on my stomach in the mud for quite a long time but I was able to capture the falls in a way I had never seen before.
