Shelter From The Storm

This image was taken in Washington near Olympic National Park in September of 2003. Many of the barns I photograph are old and run down and they no longer serve a purpose, but this barn is still in use at a working farm. I was inspired by the old-fashioned appeal of the farm, there was a man mowing the yard and a women feeding the ducks near the small pond. There was a serene feel to the charming farm as though time moved much more slowly there, it really was picturesque.
