Here Comes The Sun

This image was taken in Idaho at a small pond during sunrise in October of 2003. I had just arrived in town and it was already dark so I had a difficult time finding a place to shoot sunrise, when I saw the pond it was dark and I had to hope it would be a beautiful spot at sunrise. When I got up a little before dawn and saw it was foggy and very cold, I set up my tripod and camera and tried to visualize what it would look like when the sun rose. The sun started to come up, the fog began to lift and I saw that the pond was steaming. There was a glow coming from the water and I was amazed to see that the pond was more beautiful than I had ever imagined.
