Bridge Over Troubled Water

This image was taken in Olympic National Park, Washington at Sol Duc Falls in October of 2003. This was one of my most challenging shots; it was raining so needless to say I was cold and soaking wet. I was taking the picture from the edge of a cliff while holding on to an umbrella, trying not to slip in the mud and also making sure my equipment was staying dry. I'm still amazed when I see how sharp this image is, the rain was coming down so hard I was worried the rain would be visible in the picture but a long exposure fixed that problem. I was glad to be able to show how beautiful these falls really are in autumn..
